Cameroon: Mentor Site -Regional Management of Adult HIV

Position Summary:

Strengthen staff capacity in designated health facilities for adult HIV care, according to national guidelines. Oversee the implementation of activities in the field of adult HIV care and treatment. Analyze progress toward objectives and support the development of interventions to address identified gaps in the program, work collaboratively with other regional "mentors" programs, including monitoring and evaluation staff. site evaluation. Work closely with the regional public health delegation for program implementation and technical assistance to national counterparts. Ensure that the ICAP supported FOSAs achieve the 95-95-95 annual targets.

Major responsibilities:

  • Supervise healthcare providers involved in the care of HIV in adults in health facilities supported by ICAP in the region (Adamaoua, North, Far North)
  • Be the main responsible for the support and progress of all the indicators 95-95-95 of about 5 to 7 health facilities supported by ICAP in the region (Adamaoua, North, Far North)
  • Provide supervision and monitoring of field staff in relation to the management of HIV in adults in health facilities supported by ICAP
  • Ensuring the functioning of support groups for adults living with HIV (PLHIV)
  • Ensure the availability of all standard HIV care guides within health facilities
  • Participate in data quality assurance / quality improvement activities to develop interventions to address identified gaps in the program.
  • Oversee the collection, documentation and validation of indicators related to HIV care in adults throughout the HIV care cascade.
  • Prepare the weekly report and submit to the ICAP Regional Manager and the ICAP Technical Advisor for the Management of HIV in Adults
  • Participate actively in the weekly "Situation Room" and monthly meeting on the status of progress toward objectives and review of site data.
  • Support HIV training for providers in the region (Adamawa, North, Far North)
  • Ensure the availability of adult HIV supplies and consumables on the site.
  • Liaise with the central office and receive technical assistance, advice and contributions from ICAP experts from the regional headquarters and New York teams
  • Work closely with regional and district authorities (RWG, Delegation)
  • Other assigned tasks

EDUCATION

  • Doctor of Medicine degree or Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • Master's degree in public health will be an asset

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Global HIV / TB Management (Minimum 2 years)
  • Training in Global HIV Management
