CANADEM is seeking seasoned professionals with previous relevant experience for its Information Management Sector. CANADEM is a Canadian based NGO that works with various UN agencies through the standby partnership programme. We regularly deploy candidates in various areas of expertise all around the globe. Registration with CANADEM is always free. We are looking to expand our pool of experts for potential/upcoming opportunities with different UN agencies field offices. Most positions are for 3 to 6 months deployments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in information management, GIS, information systems or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in information management in the humanitarian field and emergency context.
- Fluency in English or French, (both oral and written) is required; knowledge of the other is desirable.
- Willingness and ability to work in difficult environments, under stressful and time-critical circumstances.
- Cultural and Gender awareness and sensitivity.
- Strong knowledge of and experience in using advanced Excel and data analysis software, including proficiency with databases.
- Use of ArcGIS or another mapping software; understanding of GIS/Cartographic outputs and ability to collect and organize data to support their production.
