Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of
Senior Key Populations (KP) Advisor for a comprehensive, multi-year U.S. government-supported HIV/AIDS care and treatment support program focused on the north regions (Adamawa, North, Far North) of Cameroon.
The Senior KP Advisor reports to the ICAP Cameroon Technical Director and s/he is expected to be based in Ngaoundere, Adamawa region.
The Senior KP Advisor is responsible for providing day-to-day technical support to all KP-related aspects of the project and to work in close collaboration with the PEPFAR-supported KP partner working in the north regions to optimize the overall impact of PEPFAR’s KP-related support towards Cameroon’s achievement of PEPFAR and Ministry of Public Health 95-95-95. The ICAP Senior KP Advisor ensures that all project approaches to HIV testing and counseling, clinical care and retention are appropriately tailored to the needs of key populations.
Successful candidates will possess a Medical Doctor, PhD or MPH degree, with a minimum of 7 years of experience in the provision of cutting-edge strategies supporting the efficient and effective provision of HIV/TB-related clinical services to key populations in resource limited settings. S/he will be fluent in English and French and conversive in Fulani and will possess a strong understanding of the Cameroon health system and familiarity with populations most impacted by HIV/AIDS in the north regions of the country.
