Summary:

ICAP at Columbia University, a global health leader situated within the Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York City, seeks highly qualified candidates for the position of Director of Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for a comprehensive, multi-year U.S. government-supported HIV/AIDS care and treatment support program focused on the north regions (Adamawa, North, Far North) of Cameroon. The Director of M&E reports to the ICAP Cameroon Technical Director and s/he is expected to be based in either Ngaoundere, Adamawa region or Garoua, North region.

Main Responsibilities:

The Director of M&E ensures that systems for reporting and analysis of high-quality project data are established, implemented and monitored within each region and that data is available and used to improve and inform project strategies and activities. S/he is responsible for providing feedback to technical teams to ensure they are aware of progress against targets and can interpret and utilize data for program improvement, and where necessary, and to implement course corrections or redesign of strategies and interventions.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have at least 8 years of experience in M&E systems associated with national public health programs in resource limited settings. S/he will hold an advanced degree in public health, epidemiology, statistics, or related fields, must be proficient in English and French (proficiency in Fulani preferred), must possess a very good working knowledge of the Cameroon health system and monitoring, evaluation and reporting (MER) requirements associated with PEPFAR.

Travel Requirements:

Frequent travel to sites will be required.
